What?
Practical informative session with the focus on:
· Safety and ergonomics
· Advantages of babywearing for parents and children
· Different carrying positions
· Information on different ways of babywearing (woven sling, stretchy/elastic sling, ringsling, Asian carriers, soft structured carriers) with the possibility to feel, see and experience different baby carriers
· Own experience of each participant with babywearing
During this workshop, you develop an idea of which baby carrier suits you and your baby. To learn to tie a sling in a safe and confident way or to try a certain amount of soft structured carriers, an individual personalized consultation with a babywearing consultant is recommended. More information on this during the informative workshop.
When? Once every other month, on Thursday 10-12h, before the Babyboost.

WORKSHOP HOW TO ... STRETCHY BABY WRAP/ELASTIC SLING
Would you like to hold your baby close using a stretchy wrap?
Elastic slings are made of tricot, a knitted soft moldable fabric that stretches. Thanks to their wrapping style and wearing comfort, stretchy wraps are ideal for carrying newborns on the front. You tie the sling before you insert your baby in the wrap. Getting all tied up? Learning how to wrap your baby with some assistance can prepare you for some wonderful babywearing with this soft sling! Moreover, in group you can enjoy the company of other parents and have fun learning.
For whom? During pregnancy, this workshop prepares you for babywearing so you can wrap your baby with love from birth. But parents and grandparents with a little baby are also welcome. Feel free to bring your baby with you! To practice freely with the special babywearing dolls, please invite someone to come with you to take care of your baby while you are practicing with the doll. Most stretchy wraps are meant for kids up to 9 kg.

WORKSHOP HOW TO ... WOVEN WRAP/SLING
Would you like to hold your baby close using a woven wrap?
Quality woven wraps stretch diagonally for a safe and ergonomic positioning of your baby in the wrap. The great advantage of a woven wrap is the versatility in use. With a woven wrap you can wear in front, on your hip or on your back from birth all through your babywearing period. It even holds preschoolers! In this workshop you discover how to wrap a woven sling in your base size on the front so you can carry your baby around from birth. Learning tying techniques under supervision can ensure that you can enjoy wearing this wrap.
