Unfortunately not all pregnancies go as planned. The first trimester is a very fragile period for the development of the baby. A misscarriage - or early pregnancy loss- happens more often than we think. And sometimes pregnancy is terminated because of medical reasons.
During this period good support and correct information is really important. As midwives we provide a listening ear and medical support (or we refer to relevant professionals) in this period. You are not alone in this experience. We'd like to really make a difference.
